Time Does Not Wait…

Jan 31, 2011

Can you believe it’s already the end of January??? Where on earth did the month go? I need to keep track of time, which means I need a watch but not just any time piece! It needs to be different from what the general public sport, it should be subtle, chic, a watch that looks conservatively expensive. Titan Black comes to mind. This company specialises in customising luxury watches and the most noticeable customization applied to watches is the blackening process. “Known as DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) a flawless coating of extreme hardness produced by Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD)”. Look at the Titan Black’s Daytona Black Out, a customization of a Brand New Rolex Daytona:

These watches are James Bond cool! So why has this brand caught my attention you may ask? Because if you give Titan black a Rolex covered in diamonds, the white diamonds will be replaced with black diamonds. The ladies collection is what I am waiting for. Ladies and gentlemen, we are about to reach new heights in watch design.

Gold Bubbly

Jan 28, 2011

Champagne with real 24 ct gold flakes. I had to read this a few times so my brain could process what my eyes were seeing. My only question: HOW??? The answer: a brand called LUXOR champagne that apparently is becoming popular with those living in the super fast lane. The description is mouth watering: “A powerful champagne with notes of dried fruit and blackberries, a hint of spice and a fresh finale which melts in your mouth with a ripe coating and which has been matured in small oak barrels. The bubbles of the Champagne make the gold flakes dance before your eyes whilst the very high quality blend brings power and freshness to your palate.” I can’t be the only person who wants to try this??? It sounds RICH. And as I guzzle back the gold champagne, the right thing to do would be to introduce my digestive system to 24ct gold caviar. Seeing is believing:

My love of red carpet glamour remains robust! As I watched the 2011 Golden Globe Awards I decided to create my own fantasy Golden Globe categories and after much thought and deliberation I have decided that the Golden Globes for best dressed females should go to…drum roll… .  Olivia Wilde (Tron actress). I loved this Marchesa gown as soon as I saw the top half of it.  Olivia just about gets away with the bottom of the dress being size of a small country. The graduated sparkle is fabulous, all the sparkle is fabulous – it’s All Thingz Nice.

Sofia Vergara was scotch bonnet hot in this gorgeous Vera Wang dress. To wear red on a red carpet is risky, you either clash or you steal the show. Best Black Gown Award: I decided to have a fantasy best black gown category because the person wearing the best black dress was actually a TV host and she beat Eva Longoria and Halle Berry to snatch the price! The award goes too: Giuliana Rancic

Men and their attire largely get over looked at these awards ceremonies but I’ll have you know that a tuxedo is not just a tuxedo and some men can wear a tux or a suit and tie better than others, so the award for the best dressed male should go to Robert Pattinson, and my decision has nothing to do with the fact he is fresh and good looking:

Oscars aka Academy Awards next month – so much to look forward too!

Bathing in Luxury

Jan 10, 2011

Bathing has never been so luxurious. This Swarovski crystal bathtub was made by luxury bath maker Teuco in association with Fiona Winter Studio and is one of the most expensive bath tubs ever made. The stones are exquisitely arranged and subtly placed so it’s not an over kill. Classy. One can only imagine the type of house that could accommodate such a lavish bath! I purchased a fabulous Laura Mercier Crème Brûlée bath set from Harrods that is going to make me smell sweet! Now all I need is a bathroom suitable for such pampering…

The Emirates Palace in Dubai comes to mind because some of the fixtures in the Palace Suite are made of gold. I could happily spend the rest of my days sleeping on this bathroom floor. The hotel recently topped a poll for hotel cleanliness and did I mention there is a 24 hour butler with the suite??? It must have escaped me.

Yes I can admit it I was a Spice Girl fan! This was a nice really nice song, the girls looked pretty and Mel B’s winter gear was fantastic – the best winter gear I’ve ever seen – I beg someone to argue with me on that! Reminds me of the festive season. Nice, so I’m sharing it with you (I know, I know, I’m far too kind).

The £7 million faux evergreen Christmas tree stands at 40 feet and is adorned with 181 diamonds , rubies, pearls, emeralds, sapphires  and gold as well as expensive watches and necklaces which sit amongst traditional baubles and lights.  The world’s most expensive tree can be found in the lobby of the magnificent seven star Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi.

If I must sing along to a Christmas song, I will happily sing along to some old Destiny’s Child! I can’t believe this song is a decade old already! Listen to all the lovely things they gush about –the thought of receiving such pressie’s puts a huge smile on my face ;0)

OMG! I loved this song when it came out and I love this song NOW! I can really relate to the lyrics! And it suits the Christmas season too! Don’t you think???

As Christmas quickly approaches I have begun to formulate my wish list. First on my Xmas list, I want this Gold Gianfranco Ferre dress as seen on Cheryl Cole a few of weeks ago on X-factor (I don’t admit to watching the show mind you!).  It’s £8190…an amount that could possibly eat up any Christmas allowances but never the less, it’s fabulous!

Earlier this year I spotted Jenny (from the block) aka Ms Lopez in another amazing Gianfranco Ferre gold creation:

If she can have it, why can’t I, right ladies ???

Number 2 on my Xmas list – I want this for my bathroom:

What better way to add value to your property than to add a Swarvoski crystal toilet to your bathroom suite, surely the fact that the rest of the house might be in complete disrepair would be irrelevant with a toilet like this in the manor??? Designed by Jemal Wright it’s valued at around $75,000 (£48,000) and if you consider this from practical view point, using the toilet is a bit of daily necessity, so you would actually get value for money with this purchase, which justifies the cost in my opinion.

Number three on my Xmas List – I want this gold chair by Mansory for my office…I don’t actually have an office yet, but it’s around the corner, I can feel it! This chair is made from a carbon fiber frame and upholstered in supple gold padded leather. The chair costs roughly £16000… which poses the question: Is my bum worth it??? I know one person who would say yes ;0)

And last but not least a Gold Plated i-Pad by Goldgenie ;0)

My wish list is to be continued…
